Welcome to Highspire Volunteer Fire Department

A 100% ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT THAT IS

"BATTLE TESTED BATTLE PROVEN"!

Update to the "Public Notice"
On July 23rd our Fire Company was hit by flash flooding from the local area.  The water entered from the front and rear of the building.  Water damage was heavily done to the Banquet Hall, hallway, auxiliary room, day room, offices and bunk room.  The floor to the bay handicapped lavatory needed replaced as well. The following morning, a restoration and remodeling Company, Service Masters of Harrisburg, began the process of cleaning up and drying out.  We used their services as well for the restoration of all the damaged areas.  As of Monday, September 18 2017 we have completely restored those areas.  We have a few minor repairs, but overall the restoration was a complete success!  Please visit the Picture gallery to see before and after pics. Thank you to all who had helped during this small disaster, and many thanks for all the support of our followers, friends and family!
Sincerely,
Shirley Sundy, President

Our Annual Fund Drive Letter only recently went out in the mail and we are pleased to announce that we are already receiving generous donations from throughout the Community.  Thank you very much for responding to our request for assistance so quickly.

Many people do not realize or know that The Citizens Fire Company No. 1 is a 100% fully volunteer fire department and that our Firefighters and First Responders receive absolutely no compensation for the time and effort that they put forth in responding to Emergency and Non-emergency calls.  Another fun trivia fact that most people do not know is that our Firefighters and First Responders actually pay the Fire Company yearly membership dues in order to retain their privilege of responding on calls—yes you read that last sentence correctly WE ACTUALLY PAY to be Firefighters and First Responders in order to protect you and the rest of the Community at large.  We do this because we care about you and our town and we would not be able to do this without your support. Thank you to those that have responded so quickly to our Annual Fund Drive Letter, thank you to everyone that has ever helped us out in any way shape or form whether it be in a small or big way.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated and we cannot thank you enough for your support.
